Where are Estafeta packages/shipments inspected going into Mexico and will my package be safe?
At the Laredo/Nuevo Laredo border Estafeta agents pass everything through their customs division to be presented to the Mexican inspection authorities however your package never leaves control of our staff. To reiterate, at no point from crossing into Mexico until final delivery does your package leave Estafeta control unless it contains contraband. Whenever and whereever Mexican officials chose to look at a package, an Estafeta agent is present. For everyone’s safety, your package will be x-rayed for prohibited contents.
