Where and when was Dimplex set up?
Dimplex was set up in 1949 in Southampton and started out making oil-filled electric radiators. The first product was the Mark 1 oil-filled radiator with dimples in the design, hence the name Dimplex. Even then, energy control was a key element. The product offering broadened over the years, including both commercial and domestic heaters. GT – Who owns Dimplex now?
