WHERE and WHEN did agriculture start?
Agriculture sprang up in several places of the world, with different human groups. There is no “one group” of people, nor “one area” of the world where agriculture started. In other words, several different groups of people had the same idea, and started to grow their own food in different parts of the world. Australia Aborigines never started agriculture. They were always a hunter gatherer people. Agriculture didn’t arrive in australia, until the Europeans arrived. Australia is mostly a desert continent and has no native animals that can be domesticated for agriculture. Australia was never concussive for primitive agriculture. The Aborigines would have died out had they tried to live by agriculture in Australia. New Guinea is the exact opposite of Australia. Covered with lush forests, and receiving enough rainfall.
