Where and when can the bus permit be used?
From Monday 30 June 2008 on weekdays (Monday to Friday) the bus pass is valid within Kent between 9am and 11pm; in London, at anytime; outside of Kent and London, the bus pass is valid at the statutory times of between 9.30am and 11pm. The bus pass is valid at any time at weekends and bank holidays. It can be used to travel free on any local bus services in England, but not Scotland or Wales. In London, your pass is only valid on buses and is not the same as the London Freedom Pass. Standard bus permits issued from 1 April 2008 will be valid until 31 March 2013.
