If you live in a foreign country, you should contact the regional police authority to obtain the ‘Police Certificate’. Please note that ‘Original Police Certificate’ is required. Police Clearance Certificate(s) issued in India must be ‘Attested’ by the General Administration Department (GAD) of the State Government and then ‘Apostilled’ by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi.
