Where am I supposed to place the temperature sensor inside the incubator? Why does it not have a fixed position like in the other incubators?
In the manual for the incubator you can find several suggestions for temperature sensor positions. Start with these for your first incubation experiments. However, if you are not satisfied with the cell vitality you might have to change the sensor position to improve the heating of the cultivation vessel. A fixed position of the sensor would not allow the user to adapt the incubation conditions to the specific microscope setup (condenser, micromanipulator, etc.). The setup of components inside the incubator influences the flow of the warm air and, as a result, can alter the temperature of the cultivation vessel.
