We did not listen every weekend, but we did listen quite often.

I did listen to Kasey on occasion. However, I listed to a Saturday nite TV show “Your Hit Parade” as a mid teen. It ran from 1953 through 1959. The singers were Snooky Lanson, Dorothy Collins, Russell Arms and Gisele MacKenzie. Gisele was a real fox. She was the first TV personality I was infatuated with. They sang the top ten songs of the week. It was a TV continuation of a radio top 10 show that began somewhere in the 1930’s.

I have been listening to the top 40 countdown every Sunday since Remembrance Sunday 1978. I was 13 then. I still listen to the top 40 countdown even though I’m now 43.
