When you say JBlitz is a Java application, what difference does that make ?
In most instances, this fact is transparent to you. JBlitz behaves like a regular desktop application. In fact, being a Java application actually gives you an extra level of protection – everything JBlitz does is validated by the Java virtual machine at execution time. On Windows, JBlitz comes with full install / uninstall support. A shortcut can be created during installation that will run JBlitz from your desktop or quick launch bar. An executable ‘JBlitz Pro.exe’ is created in your installation folder that will also run JBlitz. On Unix and Linux, the JBlitz distributions come in either ZIP or TAR GZIP formats. These distributions contain the JBlitz JAR file and associated documentation. You’ll need a 1.4 or higher Java virtual machine installed to run JBlitz. More information on how to install and run JBlitz for these platforms is given in the installation instructions. Java gives JBlitz it’s cross platform capabilities.
