When you are writing a song what decides whether it will be for Jebediah or Bob Evans?
KM: Well it’s only a few times on Jebediah records where there are songs on the album that have been me writing by myself. There might be a couple of songs that come from that but usually it’s from jamming. But usually if I’m writing a song, nowdays particularly, I’m usually writing thinking that’s Bob Evans, unless the song starts to tell me it’s not. If I get more excited about the idea of taking it to the other guys than I do about recording it myself that’s how I make that decision. VT: And if he brings something in and we go “Nah that’s shit, that’s a Bob Evans song” TS: What’s changed amongst the band in the fourteen years you’ve been together? VT: Do you know what’s changed? Computers have changed. He tweets now, he never tweeted fourteen years ago, sung like a bird but never tweeted. KM: The basic dynamics within the band haven’t really changed much but I think the big thing is that up until 2005 the band was full time, and now it’s more of a part time thing. VT: It’s a hobby.
