When writing hiragana, can it look exactly like the computer hiragana characters?
The computer hiragana is correct, but there are other styles. About き, き in that picture is correct and this one is commonly used as handwriting. I advice you to get a book or find a web-site to show you handwriting hiragana. Addition: Now I’ve visited the Web site. http://www.realkana.com/ You can see handwriting hiragana at an option page. http://www.realkana.com/options/ But DON’T use hiraganas in three lines at right hand side on an optuin page as an examples for imitation. They are just examples for Japanese people’s handwriting and they are pothooks and hangers ! You need to be able to read them but don’t need to be able to write them!
