When will the worldwide population stop increasing?
UN projections expect that, barring disaster, the population will probably peak at about 2100, when it will be double the size of the current population i.e. about 12 billion. However, in the current state of the world, projecting that far ahead is fairly dodgy. Contrary to brodiet2’s assertion, it is usually women who define the growth rate, by exerting their freedom to choose contraception (including contraception by chastity). As women’s education rises, the birthrate falls.
