When will the town start maintaining the streets once the MSD is established?
Once the MSD is established (estimated to be 1 JUL 11) the town will start the process of converting the private streets to public streets. The process will require that new plats be prepared for each participating subdivision and each HOA will be required to sign their respective plat dedicating the rights-of-way and streets to the public. Once the plats are prepared, signed, and recorded at the Wake County Deeds Office the streets will be public streets. Street signs will be updated to indicate that the streets are public and the town then can start expending public funds for the maintenance and required improvements. These actions should take no longer than six months to complete.
