when will the price of the xbox 360 officially drop?
One could, and probably will, happen sometime in 2007. Since they are now making money on the system they can afford to drop the price. But in my opinion they won’t because they are still less than the PS3 and they want to make the money they lost when the system cost more to produce then retail. If you are looking to get one I suggest checking Best Buy, Circuit City, EB/Gamestop, and Target ads weekly because they are usually offering a free game, warranty, or controller with the purchase of the system. You would be saving about $50 which I would guess would be the first price drop. This week (ends Saturday) Toys R Us is offering a $100 gift card with the premium system. Don’t wait for a price drop. Just get a 360. It’s worth it.
