When will the peak fall colours (colors) arrive in 2008?
This is often a question we are asked on our website, and the answer can vary depending on the source of the destination, the amount of rain, the first frost, the temperature of nearby bodies of water, and the fullness of the foliage on the trees, the vertical height of the area above sea level. Predictions are just that—predictions based on forecasts. A little bit of art, and a little bit of science. This year 2008 has seen a bit more rain than usual, and the foliage is thick, the leaves are healthy and probably a bit bigger this year than last year. This will make for a more spectacular fall colour and fall foliage season in Ontario.
