When Will the Nintendo DS Lite Be Replaced With a New Model?
The DS Lite already has internet connectivity with an available Opera Web Browser and a litany of games with online-play available. Nintendo probably does have plans to modify and improve the DS, but nothing has been hinted at or made official. Aside from the strictly cosmetic upgrades (like new colors), there is nothing “officially” in the pipeline as a new version of the system. Nintendo does have a history of continually modify their portable systems, which suggests that there will be a new version of the DS; but if you are asking if there are any rumors or hints at a new DS, then the answer is no.
