When will the Halloween activities on Friday, Oct. 30 the Dover Recreation Department for preschool aged children start?
Trick or Treat is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 30, from 5-8 p.m. On Friday, Oct. 30 the Dover Recreation Department is hosting a Halloween event for preschool aged children of the Dover and surrounding communities. The event, titled “Halloween Happenings,” is scheduled for 10 a.m.-noon at the McConnell Center, 32 St. Thomas St.The tenants of the McConnell Center are collaborating with the Dover Recreation Department to host a variety of Halloween activities for children. Activities for children to participate in include: leaf tracing, storytelling, decorating a mural, coloring, cookie decorating and other Halloween inspired games.Upon arrival, park in the Dover Public Library/McConnell Center parking lot and meet in the lobby by Door 7. The festivities will begin in the Teen Center where groups of children will be paired with volunteers and then circulated through the McConnell Center to participate in the various activities.Parents are encouraged to accompany their child for this event
Kids Kaos and Trunk or Treat is scheduled to occur Saturday, Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m. in the town gym at 39 Province Lane. Participants can decorate their trunk and join the mobile neighborhood during Trunk or Treating in the parking lot. Parental supervision is required and all trunks must be registered and check by Recreational staff. The best trunks will receive awards. After costumed children collect candy and treats outside, those 10 and under can enter Kids Kaos inside. It will have a bounce house, monster slide, games, food and candy. The cost is $3 a child.
