When will the entire Loop 49 project be completed?
We currently only have funding available for Phases I and II. TxDOT and local community leaders have traveled to Austin on several occasions to lobby for funding in order to construct the loop from SH 155 to Interstate 20. As of this time that money has not been available. However, new legislation has been passed which will provide TxDOT with other funding avenues to pursue for projects like Loop 49. We are currently analyzing our options and will work hard to see this project through completion as soon as possible. We appreciate the strong community support and leadership we have received and continue to receive in our efforts to obtain funding.
