DISA, with its 4272 jobs, represents the largest portion of BRAC growth coming to Fort Meade. DISA will break ground for their new 1 to 1.5 million square foot facility in May/June 2008 with construction expected to be complete in the fall of 2010. At this time the DISA transition plan calls for the movement of “jobs” from the Arlington Virginia headquarters to Fort Meade to begin around December 2010/January 2011. The DISA transition to Fort Meade will be completed by September 2011.
