When will the CSS Profile 2010-2011 application be available?
Animal: The CSS Profile is timed to correspond to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The new FAFSA is published by the US Department of Education each year on January 1st, so that’s about the time you can start looking for the CSS/Profile. Given that the Profile, like the FAFSA, asks you to answer questions about your current financial circumstances and your past year’s income, you would need to wait until after December 31, 2009, in order for you to have access to information about your 2009 earnings. I can more than appreciate your determination to get off to a quick start on the sometimes harrowing process of qualifying for financial aid, but you’re going to have to sit tight for about another 6 months, before you can start filling out the forms.
