When will the Anglo-American domination of the world actually come to an end?
Right now, the 21st century looks to be one that could be marked by global peace and cooperation on an unprecedented scale. Although conflicts still rage in the Third World and terrorism, crime, and poverty are on the rise, we have entered an era of economic and political cooperation between all the major powers. The blood and carnage of the 20th century seems like a thing of the past, and a third world war seems more and more implausible every day. Let’s not squander this opportunity by attempting to be the next British Empire. I believe America is better than that… the history of the United States has been a history of the progress of peace, human rights, and liberty. We must be a beneficial force, not just another imperial power that will eventually be swept into the dustbin of history. I’m not saying that we have to be pacifists or let other nations push us around, because we can’t and we won’t. I’m just saying, let’s reevaluate how we interact with the rest of the world.
