When will staff start moving to Cannington?
Some Senior Executive Service (SES) level positions will be advertised on a merit selection basis in Decmber 2004 and early 2005. Other leadership and management positions will follow soon after. Transfers or appointments of other staff, at their substantive classification levels should start to take place during the second quarter of 2005. These will be progressively undertaken within each SSC/Cluster for permanent Public Service employees at Level 8 and below. It should be noted, however, that positions will be filled on a gradual basis over a lengthy period of time – potentially well into 2006/07 – and many appointed staff will not move to Cannington until their current agency rolls into the shared services environment. Staff working in the SCSPO, along with the interim General Managers, moved to Cannington in mid-September 2004.
