When will Rough Riders suck again?
Not anytime soon. Durant is good and getting better and with Taman their now he’ll keep the team stocked with good targets for him. However, their defence is obviously not as strong this year with the loss of Bagg and Chick. As a Bomber fan, I don’t enjoy this period but everything is cyclical. It’s their time right now. I’m going to let them enjoy it because they’ve deserved it after all those years of not being good. Honestly, it’ll be years before they suck again unless Durant gets so good that he gets some NFL looks. If that happens, I have faith that Taman will be as ineffective for them at finding a good QB as he was for us.
The Rough Riders sucked a lot, they went 17 years without a winning record before folding in 1996. I assume you mean the Saskatchewan Roughriders (one word), and there is no way to predict when they will start to decline. They have made the playoffs every year since 2002, and should have won 2 Grey Cups in the last 3 years. If Paul McCallum hadn’t missed an 18 yard field goal in the 2004 West Final they could have won the Grey Cup that year as well.Their core group of current players is all under 30, and they are currently in 2nd place in the West, so they could be good for a long time to come. If they keep Durant, they will be a contender for a long time to come. The Eskimos went 33 years in a row of making the playoffs until 2006, so teams can be competitive for generations. What we are witnessing right now is the decline of BC after many years of being elite, and once Calvillo retires I would not want to be a Montreal fan. Don’t bet on the Riders sucking any time soon.
