When will providers be able to enter inpatient and outpatient data into one application?
Currently, servers from one military treatment facility (MTF) do not have access to information that resides on servers located at other MTFs throughout the combat zone. In July 2007, Theater Medical Information Program Composite Health Care System Cach (TC2) replaced CHCS Legacy for inpatient applications, but still requires the use of a separate server for outpatient applications. At this time, the Army has not determined when inpatient and outpatient data will be combined into one application. However, providers can use Theater Medical Data Store (TMDS) the most under-utilized application within the MC4 product suite to view patient data generated at other MTFs throughout the combat zone.
