Personal ERP software that will be affordable for purchase by small corporations including single person corporations are still far from reality today. ERP today is like the main frame of the seventies, when no one thought that there will be need for individual computers for everyone. Several developments including microprocessors and visionary corporations like Microsoft made personal computers possible. Personal ERP similarly would become reality when “business objects” with sufficient power of abstraction with sophisticated “plug and play” features can be mass produced and assembled at the user end with minimal cost and time.
