When will pandering to Christian theocrats stop being politically advantageous for the Republican Party?
Maybe when Democrats stop pandering to Muslim theocrats, who actually kill and torture people and deny the most basic human rights to everyone while they themselves live like sultans (which is what they are). It never ceases to astound me that Democrats are oh, so sensitive to men who so often strip and flog women, stone both gays and women to death (with small stones, so it’s never over quickly), torture their enemies, utterly dehumanize women, cut off a hand or even a hand and foot on opposite sides, and have raised pederasty to an art form (look at an unexpurgated Arabian Nights). The crime of Christian “theocrats” is that they want as much respect for an unborn child as there is for an unborn dog or cat–if a veterinarian performed partial birth abortions on puppies or kittens he’d be fined, imprisoned, and his license revoked for life. And don’t remind me of the seven abortion doctors supposedly killed by Christian theocrats. They were white supermacists who did that–Klansmen or
The Christian Right would disagree with your statement that they are theocrats. But regardless, the party has taken a step in the direction of moderation by electing John McCain over other candidates who were more religiously conservative. In fact, the Republican party has rarely elected a Bible thumping conservative. Just like the Democrats must throw a sympathetic ear to their tree-hugging Green-peace base, so must the Republicans to theirs.
