When will overpopulation become a concern?

I’m not sure to your answer. BUt overpopulation can’t just be blamed on more children being born!! It’s occurred because the infant mortality rate is much better, meaning more babies are surviving birth, and because people are living to be much older. This is why the 20th century had such a huge population jump because modern medicine has made it possible for people to live longer and more babies survive birth.

It wont become a significant concern whilst there are those able to continue to utilise a disproportionate share of the available resources. Famine, disease and wars will probably continue to limit the ‘surplus’ populations as it has in the past. Pop contol re the Chinese eg led to cultural changes and cruelty that was not anticipated.
