NERC is seeking recognition as the “electric reliability organization” for the Canadian provinces as it did in the United States. NERC signed Memorandums of Understanding with Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia and the National Energy Board of Canada in 2006. NERC is working with the remaining provinces to achieve the same result.
