When will my Haas Computer Center Lab Account (NT Domain Account) account expire?
HCS Lab Account: The information you have saved in your home directory (H and I drive space) will not be accessible after September 30th. If you would like to keep any of the information saved to these drives, we recommend that you save it to a Zip disk, CD-RW, DVD-R, or USB pen drive. Another option is to transfer it to a different computer BEFORE your account is closed. Another alternative is subscribing to a Web storage site, such as www.backup.com. “HCS does not recommend this service over the others. All free accounts are created and maintained at your own risk.” Retrieval of Data: One last backup tape will be made of your lab account & home directory (e.g., H, I, and U drives) prior to their deletion. Please be advised that data retrieval is a time-consuming and costly process. All fees for retrieval will be billed to the customer at $50/hr.
