When will my baby start to handle/play with toys?

You know babies are all born with a natural ability to grasp items. But intentionally grasping they SAY is between 3-12 months. Batting at toys is around 3 months. 4-8 months they can pick up large objects. ALso if your baby isn’t picking up objects by 9 months talk with your doctor. My older daughter was around 4 months where she intentionally was bringing items to her mouth, not accidentally. Oh and something else interesting is between (I think it was) 9-12 months you’ll start seeing a preference for right or left-handedness but you won’t know definately until between 2 & 3. Hope that helps, hey my baby is 2 months too!!!! Congrats to you December baby!
