When will Malaysia be ready for a green party, as seen in some developed nations?

At the same time we need to see greater environmental awareness and action by the Malaysian public. There have already been two attempts to set up such a party but without much success. On the other hand, there may be no need for such a party if existing parties seriously address environmental issues, not only during the campaigning period but throughout. After all, environmental issues cut across the board. But Malaysians must also demand action on environmental issues by political parties, not only when a crisis occurs. Why are we still using plastic bags, which we already know are harmful to the environment, instead of using alternatives such as paper bags?
