When will hunting commence on declared public land?
The declaration of public land commenced with systems tests in February 2006, targeting areas with feral animals, using licensed, educated and responsible hunters as a key management tool. All current declared public land areas were advertised 30 days prior in statewide and local publications. To date, there are 460 State forests and two Crown Land areas declared for conservation hunting in NSW.
