When will Holcim make a decision on whether to build the plant?
While the August 2009 decision by the Environment Court granting Holcim all consents for the proposed plant at Weston is an important step in the process to ensure continued long-term cement supply for New Zealand, there are still some important stages to work through before a final decision on whether a cement plant and associated quarries and pits will go ahead in the Oamaru area.
