When will Harley Davidson start building liquid cooled engines?
I believe the v rod is water cooled, but wondering when they are going to advance this to their other bikes. Love my Harley, but could do without the extreme heat! Within the next 5 years ALL HD’s are going to be liquid-cooled and feature fuel-injection. It’s the reign of the EPA. Air-cooled motors are not as effcient, because they can overheat and such, leading to worse emissions. Plus, they are noiser. And the EPA doesn’t like this. That’s why most transmissions are going to helica gears now over traditional gears- helica gears are worse as far as strength but are quieter, which is regulated by the EPA. And yes, the V-Rod is liquid-cooled.
