When will deductibles and coinsurance begin for NC SmartChoice enrollees?
The 2007 benefit year begins July 1 for both CMM and NC SmartChoice. Deductibles and coinsurance accrued on the CMM plan between July 1 and September 30 will be applied to a member’s in-network deductible and coinsurance maximums on the member’s NC SmartChoice plan. For new dependents not currently enrolled in CMM and employees hired between July 1 and September 30, there will be no deductible or coinsurance carryover.
