The current contract between the European Science Foundation and the European Commission runs until 1 June 2014, which is the end date of FP7. The CSO decided at its 178th meeting on 25 and 26 May in Riga, Latvia, to invite the ESF to remain implementing agent until the end of FP7. The ESF Governing Council confirmed its commitment to remain implementing agent for COST until June 2014 at its meeting of the Governing Council on 29 and 30 September 2010.
