When will Class members receive their monetary awards?
The timing and allocation of the monetary awards is addressed in Exhibit 5 of the Settlement Agreement. Under the settlement, GSFC has no role in the allocation of the monetary awards other than providing underlying personnel data to Class Counsel that has been used to calculate the individual awards pursuant to Exhibit 5. The data was provided to Class Counsel in September 2002, but could not be analyzed by the Class statistician until the Settlement Agreement became effective on March 4, 2003. The proposed breakdown of the monetary awards amongst Class Members must be approved by the presiding EEOC administrative judge prior distribution. It is expected that the monetary awards will be issued within the next six months or so.
