When will Boiler Television offer High Definition Television (HDTV)?

That is a great question. We are occasionally experimenting with passing HDTV signals over the current system to see how it goes. It will be several years though before we are offering the local TV stations or other networks in HDTV. Part of the issue is channel capacity and cost. For some period of time we may have to offer both analog and digital signals of networks while people transition to the newer digital television sets. In that time we will have to have much more channel capacity than we do now to broadcast everything twice. In short, we have 42 channels now so we would need 84 channels just to duplicate our current lineup in standard and High Definition TV. Our current system wiring is not designed for that high of capacity. Stay tuned!
