When will Assembly Government produce a co-ordinated timetable for implementation?
A10. We will issue a timetable by the autumn of 2006 to local authorities for use by them and their partners. Internal work is currently underway to link up the correct Assembly officials responsible for developing the new framework. This network will then be widened to include leading Assembly officials responsible for specific planning requirements, which are being removed. The leads for specific plans will have been in regular contact with local authorities and their partners. This is a particularly important link as concerns addressed at operational level, fed into the leading policy officials, can be shared with those leading on developing the new framework. This 2-way communication channel is vital to ensure the success of plan rationalisation implementation. Our monthly e-bulletin is another communication channel, which will be used to issue timetabling information. This is issued to a wide local government audience.
