When will Alcide shareholders receive Ecolab shares?
We expect shareholders of record can begin to surrender their Alcide stock certificates for exchange in August 2004. Following the successful exchange of your Alcide stock certificates, shareholders of record will receive a Stock Statement from Ecolab’s transfer agent, Computershare, notifying the holder of the number of shares paid by Ecolab. New certificates will only be mailed upon request. (See also Direct Registration System.) Alcide shareholders whose shares are held by a bank or a brokerage firm will receive notice of the exchange of Alcide stock for Ecolab stock from that firm.
