The first public beta was released on July 29, 2008, along with the release of CR 4.5 and LR 2.0. A second public beta (called “beta 2”) was released on October 22, 2008, along with the release of CR 5.1 and LR 2.1. The public beta period is now over. (You may continue using the beta profiles if you wish.) The profiles are now shipping with Camera Raw 5.2. This means it is no longer necessary to visit the Adobe Labs site to download camera profiles separately. The same profiles will also ship with Lightroom 2.2 (coming soon).
