When were the fireworks scheduled at Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska?
Rosenblatt Stadium is probably best known for being the home of the College World Series, but it is also a fine minor league facility as well. They have been home to the Royals AAA farm team since their inception. The annual fireworks show is scheduled for Friday night at Rosenblatt Stadium, following the Omaha Royals’ 6:35 p.m. game with the New Orleans Zephyrs. This year’s fireworks night comes packed with some additional entertainment firepower — major leaguer Alex Gordon, a Lincoln native and one of the best players in the University of Nebraska’s baseball history, is scheduled to play for Omaha while rehabbing a hip injury. After the game, a 22-minute fireworks display will be set to songs that came out around 1985, the first year of the World-Herald show. The Confidentials, a band from Omaha, will also perform 80’s cover tunes after the game.
