When Were The Early, Middle And Late Periods Of The Bronze Age?
The early and middle Bronze Ages run together and are now dated between 2500 BC and 1600 BC. The late Bronze Age began in 1600 BC and carried on until 800 BC. This latter period includes a transitional period during which Bronze Age practices started to reduce and then die out and Iron Age techniques took over. In the early Bronze Age, the first exploitation of copper and tin ores to make bronze by the Beaker people of Britain also overlaps with the use of flint and stone implements that were used in the late Neolithic and Stone Age periods. The use of Bronze developed a lot during the many centuries of the Bronze Age and there is plenty of evidence that, by the late Bronze Age, a fire setting technique had been developed that allowed the people to obtain ores in large quantities to get enough raw materials to use a vast amount of bronze metal.
