When we give electric supply to a good conductor electrons flow but what about the nucleus?
Electrical flow isn’t necessarily the “flow” of electrons. Energy input causes an excitation in the state of the orbiting electrons. That’s why we call these orbits electron orbitals. Higher the energy input, the faster the electrons move around the orbitals. As this occurs, the adjacent electrons from other atoms are excited. This process causes a combined energy flow called electrical current. If you want to get more specific you can go into flow rates, voltage, and amperage, but I won’t bore you. The nucleus is virtually uneffected by what is going on (in or outside these orbitals). The atomic number(protons) and atomic mass(protons + neutrons) will remain unchanged since the electrical current does not change the element or molecule itself, typically. If this does occur, then you have a nuclear reaction occuring, and you probably don’t want that. However, if this is occuring, the electrical stability of the atom can change giving you a different isotope of the same element or a com
