When was the most recent tsunami?
Tsunamis occur quite often, but are dissipated before they strike land. They are also just not severe enough to cause people to notice. The well known tsunami in the Pacific in 2004 is without a doubt the most well known in recent history. The severity, extent of damage, scope of effect and fatality total resulted in one of the top natural disasters in recorded history.
