The merger was announced in September 2000 and at this time all the shareholders of The MultiMedia Corporation plc were notified of the merger through a prospectus. The merger completed in October 2000 and the company’s name was changed to Illuminator plc. At the time of the merger there was also a placing of 100,000,000 new shares, which raised £5,000,000.
