When was the Golden Compass (Book) challenged for censorship?
Not quite sure what you mean by “challenged” in this aspect, but… from what I understand, it got severe in 2007, but it has been challenged and barely avoiding censorship since the early 1990’s because of the anti-religious aspect of the book. It is kind of the opposite of the Narnia series, which also has been challenged. Go figure.
