When was the Gemini space flights and how did it differ from Apollo?
Gemini consisted of 10 manned spaced flights from March of 1965 to November of 1966. There were 2 astronauts on each flight. The goal of the Gemini flights was to extend the amount of time astronauts could spend in space to two weeks, which would be the time for space flights going to the moon. Gemini featured space walks, which served as preliminary trials for later walks on the moon. Gemini flights also practiced the use of a docking station. The Apollo program’s goal was lunar landing and exploration. There were 3 astronauts on Apollo missions. Apollo was active from 1967 through 1975, with the first lunar landing on July 20, 1969 by Apollo 11.
