When was the French “New Moon” trailer leaked?”
Twilighters, I’ve got some good news, and I’ve got some bad news. The good news is, another “New Moon” trailer has surfaced (albeit in French)! The bad news is, it’s already been taken down from YouTube because of copyright infringement. If you were one of the lucky fans who got to see the Jacob-heavy trailer before it was yanked, you’ll know that most of it was rehashed from other clips, previews and trailers we’ve seen before. But there were most certainly a few new choice morsels worth sinking your teeth into. One was our first look at Dakota Fanning as Volturi baddie Jane. Another was a mighty fine shot of the Wolfpack sans shirts (I have a feeling we’re going to see a lot of abs in this movie. And I’m not complaining). Though you can no longer view the clip, we do have a translation after the jump (including interview segments with Taylor Lautner). Francophile Twilighters lucked out Wednesday (August 12) when a “New Moon” trailer, entirely in French, surfaced on YouTube. The nearly two-minute clip, which gave fans their first video look at Dakota Fanning as Volturi vampire Jane, was later removed due to copyright claims made by Summit Entertainment. The bootlegged trailer centered largely on the growing relationship between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and her shape-shifting friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Interspersed between “New Moon” footage were interview segments featuring 17-year-old Lautner. ” ‘New Moon’ is much more complex than ‘Twilight,’ ” Lautner said in the interview, dubbed over in French. “Edward’s leaving makes Bella deeply depressive, and Jacob becomes the friend on whom she can always rely. As time passes, you can feel the passion growing. ‘New Moon’ will really bring it up to a whole new level. There’s more action in this movie, especially with the intervention of the wolf pack. I think fans will be really satisfied
