it was the first deodorant, but I remember, as a kid, seeing commercials for Stopette on TV. It was a plastic squeeze small roundish container. The woman who advertised it would show a dress with perspiration stains and say: “you might as well as rip it in two and throw it away”! This was back in the early 50s.
