When was Swinton founded?
A. The company ledgers show that the first insurance policy issued by Swinton was in August 1957. In the 50 years since the first Swinton branch opened in Salford, we have grown into a very different but extremely fit company. We have over 3,000 employees. We are now responsible for over 2 million insurance policies. More and more are being taken up over the internet. Our sales efforts are supported by our two UK call centres, in Manchester and Halifax. With over 550 branches, we are the largest High Street insurance chain in the UK.
